More than a good score.
A good ingredient score is one signal. Documented SPF, UVA protection and water resistance are separate essentials. We show the source behind each claim.

KIKI is the kind of find this club is for. Handmade in Portugal using surplus beeswax and pine rosin sourced from local small producers, with paper packaging and a choice of water-temperature formulas.

We look for specific materials, transparent formulas and products you can keep using. Every selection comes with the useful details, including its limitations.

For our sun-care selection, we look for a matching ingredient-app record and finished-formula SPF, UVA and water-resistance evidence. Zinc oxide is a sunscreen ingredient, not a substitute for a tested finished formula. Follow the product label, reapply as directed and use shade and protective clothing too.
02Specifics over green slogans.
“Natural” does not automatically mean harmless. Mineral filters alone do not prove that a finished sunscreen is safe for every marine ecosystem. We describe the formula and the packaging rather than promising zero impact.
03Small details. Longer life.
Paper-wrapped wax, replaceable earplug parts, cork traction surfaces and durable cotton each offer a concrete reason to consider a product. Recycled content applies to the stated components, not automatically the whole item.
04Buy less. Choose well.
Start with what your sessions actually need. Keep wax scrapings out of drains and the sea, maintain your gear, and replace worn components when possible. Buying locally can also avoid a long delivery for a small everyday item.
